Good Renter Gifts

By
Real Estate Agent with RETIRED 200305001

Last night was the night! I have a handful of rentals. Every year we give ALL our renters a "Good Renters Gift". We explain it is NOT a Christmas gift and we have already got our gift from them in the form of rent paid and NO damages.

This year I had 3 new renters and none of them had heard of this. When I showed on the door step all  were surprised and pleased.

This year all got a fruit basket and a gift card or two for pizza, subway or something else. No two baskets are the same as family size and situations differ. I just keep it to $40 each.

Am I the only landlord that does this?  Your thoughts?

Very kind of you and nice gesture Rob.  At least your tenants don't deserve bran muffins and prune juice.

Good will goes a long way in any business, a great idea for landlords and property managers.

Good for you Rob. You're right for sure, folks in the business just don't bring gifts to their tenants. Nice job acknowledging them for being good tenants.

This is a very nice practice and a very good way to create good will. However, most tenants will not receive gifts.
