You might recall that on March 5th, I posted an announcement about the Sony Ericsson Open and mentioned that I would be attending with one of my Girlfriends, Rosy. Well, we went today and it was great!
It was a beautiful day for the event with Temperatures in the 80's and Atlantic Ocean Breezes.
Serena Williams played Jelena Jankovic for the Sony Ericsson Open Title and won 6-1 5-7 6-3, for her 5th Sony Ericsson Title win and is now tied with Steffi Graf who has 5 Title victories in the same event. 
The event was held at the Crandon Park Tennis Center, which has been home of the Sony Ericsson Open since 1987. Crandon Park Visitor and Nature Center is located on the breathtaking barrier island of Key Biscayne, with the Atlantic Ocean on the east side and Biscayne Bay to the west.

Random Tidbits
Serena was born on September 26, 1981 and her birthday is 2 days after mine. I'm 5 years older though.
Serena has played professionally since September of 1995 at the age of 14. When Serena was four and a half, she won her first tournament, and she entered 49 tournaments by the age of 10, winning 46 of them. At one point, she replaced her sister Venus as the number one ranked tennis player aged 12 or under in California.
She was born in Michigan, then moved to California, and later, Florida where she now lives.
Serena and Venus have owned a home in the North Palm Beach subdivision of Ballen Isles since 1998. Ballen Isles is a private, gated Country Club community containing ~1500 homes. Ballen Isles is home to three 18-hole Golf Courses, which have hosted the World Cup Championship, PGA Championship, and PGA Senior's Championship. Ballen Isle's Sports Center and Clubhouse are currently undergoing a $49 million renovation.
