In my house, vacuuming usually occurs daily. We have two golden retrievers who love to run and tussle and with that comes a cloud of dog fur. The boys (Rocky & Maverick) go for grooming at PetSmart about every 5 – 6 weeks, but the in-between times are filled with shedding and vacuuming.
Recently, we bought a new Dyson Animal vacuum for about $600. It works great and gets quite a work out. We noticed an attachment highlighted on the side of the box that looked interesting. The Dyson Groom attachment is for brushing your dogs while the attachment is hooked up to the vacuum.
We were skeptical, but decided to order the newfangled device and give it a try. Worst case, we could always return it if it didn’t meet our expectations.
We were blown away at how this vacuum brush worked. With Rocky in my lap, we started brushing away. The bristles filled with fur quickly and when they did, we simply hit the button and the fur was sucked into the canister. When we finished, the canister was full with Rocky fur. This is fur that would have otherwise been left on my carpets and floors. WOW.
Maverick is only 7 months old and doesn’t shed as much as our 4 ½ year old Rocky, but we brushed him as well just so he could get used to the process. He handled it like a big boy!
I ordered this Dyson Groom attachment from Amazon for 66.98. It is worth its weight in gold. I give this one 5 GOLD STARS!
