Even in high end real estate markets, realtors still post some of the strangest home photos and our market is no different. I understand that sometimes it's a challenge to get the perfect shot, or maybe the tenants are not all that cooperative, but exterior shots just aren't that difficult. In this day and age of buyers clearly finding their future homes online is this really the best some agents can do? I've posted photos below with the list prices of the homes and whether the photo was the primary picture of the home on the MLS. It's hard to believe that these were real pictures used to sell homes (or not sell them in some cases). I'm sure these are all great homes but the photos below don't seem to do them any justice. Here are a few of my recent favorites.
This home is listed for $1.85M. Not only is this the best picture they had but ever other picture is more blurry than this one. Listed at $2.1M this was the primary photo for several days when it first hit the market. Thankfully it was replaced with a dreary shot of 3/4 of the garage
Listed at only $500K this rainy home beckons with it's warmth and charm. C'mon folks this is Southern California. There's no way it wasn't beautiful and sunny the very next day.
Listed at $699,000
Listed at $710,000 this is a picture of.....something. I guess they knew what they were doing as it sold.
Every picture of this listing was at an angle. Maybe I don't understand art but it seems that other than being a funhouse, this may not be the best representation of an $849,000 home
Located in the sunny city of luxury homes, this Manhattan Beach home is listed at $1.325M. With seemingly 360 days of sunshine a year this must have been a real challenge to find such a depressing day.
