Food Truck Friday in Gilbert, Arizona

Mobile food truck's are a trend that is sweeping the entire Country. These meals-on-wheels aren't just for construction job sites anymore. Gourmet, chef-inspired dishes are now being cooked up and delivered directly to bustling downtown areas, special corporate events, and school functions. The Cooking Channel even has a weekly show called "Eat St." dedicated to showcasing food trucks all around the Country.

Here in Gilbert, Arizona food trucks from around the State all assemble for one special night of the week. Food Truck Fridays in downtown Gilbert has weaved itself in to the very fabric of the community. Every Friday night from 5:30pm to 9:00pm food trucks gather in one location allowing hungry customers to walk from vendor to vendor tasting the very best of what they have to offer. There is no end to the variety of dishes that are being served up from Mexican inspired trucks (Queso Good and Lunche Libre), custom gourmet grilled cheeses (The Grilled Cheese Truck), Breakfast Desserts (Waffle Love), and Burgers, BBQ, and Cheesteaks (Rock-a-Belly and Super Farm Super Truck).

Hours: Friday nights from 5:30pm to 9:00pm

Food trucks are big in Nashville and we have had a few of these events but not on a regular basis. I'd love to see more food truck days here.

Good morning Nicole, these food trucks have some good eats and you're right they aren't just for construction worker anymore. We have one section of north Travis county where they park on a huge lot..... I should do blog post about it.

R & A - There are usually at least a dozen or so trucks there so there's always something for everyone.

Tom - Yes, the foodies come out in full force on Food Truck Friday!

Tammie - They are even bigger in Austin, TX. Our friends took us there once when we were visiting them. It was much larger than ours.

Bob - Some of the high end food trucks even serve some pretty exotic and not so cheap foods that you would find in a 5-star restaurant.

Hi Nicole, these Food Trucks have a following for a reason, they've become very popular and around the country. I am a big fan of Food Trucks but must go with couple of others to try different food.

Nicole, food trucks are such fun!  There are a bunch that pull up about a block from my office, and wow!  Nice photos.  Reminds me of that movie, "Chef", which would be up for an Academy Award if I had any vote in the matter.

These food trucks sure have come a long way in food quality and reputation Nicole Doty - Gilbert Real Estate Expert . The food options are incredible but it may not be the healthiest choice.

Nicole, Food trucks are big in my area as well.  The food trucks are so popular. It’s a great place to hang out – eat a meal we did not have to cook – listen to music and maybe meet and make new friends.
