Buffalo Minnesota Has Its OWN American Idol!

Kemil Casey will be appearing on American Idol on Wednesday, Jan. 21 (7 p.m. on KMSP-TV, Fox 9).

From the Wright County Press-Journal – “(Casey) Kemil, a 2014 Buffalo High School graduate and adopted son of two local teachers, Dave and Denise Casey, has no formal training in vocal music, but he has a passion for music and often sings at home, with friends and at neighborhood gatherings.

His fondness for a top- quality gold microphone, which he held during American Idol tryouts in the Twin Cities last June and September, combined with a powerful delivery to get the judges' attention. While hundreds of others were told they were not ready for American Idol, Kemil advanced with "Golden Tickets" to further auditions.

We plan to tell Kemil's entire story on the feature page in the Jan. 22 issue of the Journal-Press.”

This is pretty exciting stuff for around here….tune in, I know you will! And, think of us in Minnesota as we cheer on Casey!

Scott Gleason I know how Buffalo prides itself on its creative talent, its home town goodness and its community spirit, so this should be really interesting to see how far Casey gets. No matter if he doesn't make it far, he will be embraced and admired for years to come!

I didn't see the first season of American Idol, started watching Season 2. LOVE it. Well loved it until last season, which I stopped watching after the auditions. I didn't like the finalists at all. So far this season I'm still in. Will be looking forward to seeing Kemil!
