Evening in Ponce Inlet

Ponce Inlet is a quaint small town on the southern end of the Barrier island. Fishing is a popular pastime here, but I do have the patience for that, so I am walking around. Sometimes I am even walking with the camera.

Here is a fellow photographer with a tripod trying to set and catch the vista of the ocean beneath, but I was so fascinated by the colors, that did not even go up to see the ocean, and took this photo. Loved the colors, and was afraid the guy would disappear and leave the scene lifeless…

Beautiful photo. Ponce Inlet is a very nice quaint town. The working lighthouse at the end of the point is a neat centerpiece too. Been up to the top of it twice. Long way up.

William - too often the colors are too subtle, and while you notice and enjoy them with your eyes, the camera often fails (or, better say, I fail) to relay the colors.

This time they were a bit more intense, and it all worked. I didn't particularly like empty sky, but did not now what to do with it.

Bob - thank you. Glad you liked it.

Rob - I am sure you know that it is easier to go up than come down. WHen you go down, the steps are quite narrow, while you do not really notice it when you go up.

I did it, and I was with a 300-pound older friend of mine, and I was scared of the whole thing a lot, but he did great.

And yes, it is beautiful, and the view from there is exceptional.

Yes it is. There is a wooden raised wakway very near, but some venture to go up the dunes. I was barefoot, so stayed on the walkway.
