Go Take a Hike at Almaden Quicksilver Park

Kathleen I have heard this is a really beautiful place to check out. I have relatives in the Bay area and they have mentioned Almaden Quicksilver Park. I'd love to go myself one of these days.

Kathleen,  This sounds like a great palce to go take a hike.  I haven't been told that lately, but if I am anytime soon, I would love to do it here.

Kathleen, I have been told to "take a hike" a couple of time in my live, but I don't think they meant for me to take a hike in a beautiful park like Almaden Quicksilver Park :)

Almaden's Quicksilver Park sounds like a wonderful place to relax and how great that is is very pet friendly!  How nice that some generous people, and/or your local municipality had the forsight to preserve over 4,000 acres for public green space and use. 

Perhaps that mine would still be in operation if they hadn't found the silver so quick???

Over the years people have told me to do a lot of things, but Take a Hike was not one of those.  This sounds like a great place to commune with nature and get some exercise as well.

I would love to explore around and see the old mines and the old buildings. Great localism post, Kathleen.

And yes that is a great destination to go take a hike in Almaden. There are lots of nice trees but you would still need to take plenty of water.

Almaden Quicksilver Park sounds beautiful and the perfect place for a walk....no walk here except inside my own home, right now....too much snow and way toooooo cold!

Kathleen, nice spotlight on the Almaden Quicksilver Park in the Silicon Valley area of California. Around here I'd suggest Monte Sano or Joe Wheeler State Park.
