Splendor in the Weeds

I am always looking in the dirt and weeds while on hiking trails in the hills of Yucaipa and Calimesa. 

You never know what you will find while hiking so it is always fun to have a camera or even your smart phone which usually takes pretty good pictures nowadays. I usually carry a camera on my neck so I am hands free on hills.

Here are a few pictures I took this morning while hiking.

I am a big fan of flowers so I like to see the pretty flowers poking out of the weedy plants.

Here is a plant that has dried out but I adore the look of beauty and thought the picture turned out nice. 

And last but not least, a hole in the dirt and there are many around but nothing moving as they probably hear us a mile away. But I wonder what critter is living in this hole? Lots of squirrels, rabbits, and gophers running around which make for a fun hike. 

California is a dream come true state no matter what your needs or wants are. We have year round warm weather, beautiful beaches, rustic mountains and desert communities.
