Our foster puppy Rochelle has been adopted!

Our sweetheart foster puppy Rochelle has been adopted!  She was only with us for about a week, but we fell for her hard and fast.  Rochelle, who came to us through the rescue group FOCHP, and our dog Otis got along well and had fun playing in the yard.  It was fun to watch, especially because Otis is about 15 times the size of Rochelle.  

Anyone in the SoCal area who is interested in adopting a pet should certainly consider checking with FOCHP or any other rescue group or shelter.

I am not sure I could foster.  That being said I'm currently loving 7 strays that I've taken in over the past 13 years.

Tammy Lankford - Of course you could foster.  With your history of taking in strays, falling in love and letting them stay, I feel reasonably comfortable saying you're at high risk of becoming a foster failure.

My spokesdog Otis started out as a foster along with his brother Hayden.  We just couldn't let Otis go.  That was the moment we joined the ranks of foster failures.

I still occassionally ask people if they would like a cat.... because the current "office cat" just couldn't handle the herd at my house.  She needs a few people, no other animals home.  But unless I find her the perfect family she's staying put at my office.

To become a foster, a person just needs to complete an application with a local rescue group.  Groups also need people to transport animals or do tasks other than fostering.
