  Don’t worry about being stuck inside this May because we have got your list of events for the month. From family breakfasts and fishing with your kids to Wine and music with your friends and significant others!  There are a lot of things to do this May so DVR the latest T.v. show for a rainy day and get out there.

Fishing Derby                                                                                                        Saturday, May 2 8-11a, $2 suggested donation per fish.     Head down to the wading pool at River Road Park for the 21st Annual Children’s Fishing Derby. Fishing in the wading pool is open to children ages 2 through 7 (accompanied by an adult). Bring your own bait and tackle and try your luck. They will be fully stocked with rainbow trout.

Community Breakfast                                                                                        Saturday, May 2 | 8-11a | Donation. Kids take your mom and dad over to River Road for breakfast! All ages young and old are welcome! Pancakes, scrambled eggs, fruit, milk, juice & coffee. After the “little ones” enjoy an early morning of fishing, head in for a full stack of hotcakes and more. Donations will be accepted at the door to cover cost of food. Breakfast is open to all community members.

RELAY FOR LIFE CARNIVAL                                                                                  Friday, May 15 6-9p. Support Relay for Life with a fun carnival and free swimming at Sheldon Community center.  Games are 10 cents and all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

 The Science Factory Farm Food Festival                                                     Saturday, May 23 11a-3p $4 for non-members, free for members. This festival is all about playing with your food. Plant vegetable seeds and learn what makes them grow. Explore the processes of preparing and preserving food after it’s been harvested. Learn about honey making with the Lane County Beekeepers and see educators demonstrate how to make butter and cheese. You can even meet a few furry and feathered farm friends!

Friday Night Live @ Saginaw Vineyard                                                            Fridays, 6-9p 21 and over. If you’re looking for a place to take your significant other or just get together with some friends this is it! Enjoy a night of fine wines and great music. With delicious and reasonably priced dinners and desserts available for purchase. I hope you are enjoying the cold and rainy fall weather..... brrr!  I am looking forward to pumpkin pie and spending time with my loved ones this month.
 
We have quite a few events that are happening in Lane County this month. Check them out for yourself.
 
Events:

Monkey Bugs Holiday Open House~  Saturday November 15th from 10am to 4pm. This will be held at the Eugene Friends Church at 3495 W 18th, Eugene Oregon 97405. Get out there and do some holiday shopping before the crowds come!

Cirque Dreams Holidaz~ At the Hult Center in the Silva concert hall. November 22nd & 23rd at 7:30pm. Purchase tickets online or stop by the box office at7th and Willamette in Eugene.

Annie~ At Actors Cabaret in Eugene. This show starts November 21st and runs through December 21st. Order tickets online at www.actorscabaret.org

Lane County Farmers Market~ This holiday market runs from November 22nd through December 21st. Get all your holiday fruits and vegetables plus more at the Lane Events Center at 796 W 13th Ave,Eugene Oregon 97402. They are open Every Saturday from 10-5 and Sunday 11-5. 541-431-4923

Sweet Cheeks Winery 9th Anniversary & Thanksgiving Celebration~ November 28th from 12-9, Saturday 12-6, Sunday 12-6. Live music, wine tasting, plus moble food truck "Wood fired Pizza". Free entry.

Noble Thanksgiving Open House~ Held at 2 locations this year:  29210 Gimpl Hill, Eugene or 560 Commercial St, Eugene. Come enjoy the wines with your friends and family. November 28th noon to 9pm, Saturday noon to 9pm, Sunday noon to pm.

 

Glory Bee's Small Business Holiday Shop~ Come and browse and shop for the holiday November 29th from 10am to 2pm at 29548 B Airport Road, Eugene 97402. Free event.
