It is not okay to personally attack another AR member because of a differing opinion or work model. This platform is the best designed forum for industry professionals, which brings me back to a post I wrote in January 2015.
ActiveRain Community Guidelines - Helping others.
One of the first things that impressed me after joining ActiveRain in January of 2009, was zero tolerance for personal attacks. When a conversation quickly turned sideways, sliding toward denigrating, action was taken. Those who were at the forefront were warned, depending in severity or their membership privileges revoked.
I appreciate the proactive stance that has set the tone for member responsibility. ActiveRain created a diverse platform that has attracted 225,000+ professionals in the industry and beyond. The guidelines are fair and the expectation is that everyone will follow them. They are not a suggestion.
ActiveRain cares about it's members and continues to maintain the high standards it was built upon. What a fantastic gathering place! There will always be disagreements but at least a civil discussion can take place from a helpful standpoint, member to member.
