The Longest Summer

 

If you have dreamed of a very long summer, your dreams have come true. Memorial Day was the earliest possible date for the last Monday in May and Labor Day will be the latest possible date for the first Monday in September.

I hope you have special plans to take advantage of the extra days in this longest summer. The period from Monday, May 25 to September 7, with both days included is 106 days.

Roy, Summer here in TX is not our favorite season due to the heat and humidity. I thought the summer season was longer this year but I was unsure until I read your post.

Good Monday morning to all! We expect heavy thunderstorms in Maryland today. A flash flood watch has been posted for the area.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for Montgomery County. Expect locally heavy rains that may cause flooding within the next 24 hours. 

Flash floods kill more people every year than any other weather hazard. Do not drive through flooded areas. If you live in a flood prone area, be prepared to move to higher ground if flooding develops.  Please stay alert for any warnings.
