City of Kissimmee to Host Monumental Fourth of July Celebration

The City of Kissimmee proudly presents its annual Monumental 4th of July Celebration at the Kissimmee Lakefront Park on Saturday, July 4, 2015. Festivities kick off at 5:00 p.m. and culminate with a spectacular fireworks display at approximately 9:10 p.m. over Lake Tohopekaliga.

The celebration will take place throughout the entire Kissimmee Lakefront Park and will feature fun and entertainment for the entire family including live music on stage, a beer garden, and food trucks on the Event Lawn. An interactive KUA Kids’ Power Zone will take place on the Civic Lawn. Admission to the event is free.

This year’s celebration features live, family-friendly concerts on the Event Lawn including:

5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Osceola Arts Singers

6:15 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. Charlie Cruz, Salsa singer from Puerto Rico with hits such as “Amarte es un Problema” and “Asi Soy”

8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Spin Doctors, American Rock band best known for their hits “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong”

9:10 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Fireworks over Lake Toho

Join MIX 105.1 at the Belt Way, between the Otter and Panther Pavilions in the park, as they bring the entire community together to form a human replica of our great American flag. The first 600 participants will receive a free red, white or blue Cotton Incorporated t-shirt - 100% cotton and 100% made in the U.S.A. - and will be a part of a spectacular aerial photo. Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime, free experience for the entire family. Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. with the flag waving at 7:00 p.m.

Free Public Parking will be available at the following locations:

• Toho Square Parking Lot
• Kissimmee City Hall (101 Church Street)
• Osceola County Courthouse Parking Garage on Bryan Street
• Osceola County Parking Lot at Courthouse Square

Handicap parking will be available at Toho Marina and the Kissimmee Civic Center. Free Lynx bus service will also be available to and from the Lynx Kissimmee Intermodal Station with a required voucher. Lynx vouchers may be downloaded and printed from the link at www.kissimmeeparks.org. Vouchers can be presented at any Lynx bus stop that provides service to the Kissimmee Intermodal Station located in Downtown Kissimmee.
