Word For Wednesday...clarity

By
Real Estate Agent with Austin Texas Homes

CLARITY:

If it is clear to us we sometimes believe it is clear to everyone around us. That assumption has gotten a lot of people in trouble. The only way to know for sure that what you have communicated is clearly understood is to test it out. How do you do this?

Ask questions like:

Can you tell me in your own words what you heard me say?

Tell me what you would like me to repeat so that it is better understood?

How would you say to your spouse what I just told you?

Be clear and check to make sure you are understood. Life is better where there is Clarity.

Alan Kirkpatrick,  I like the questions that you ask to make sure someone has understood  you.

Alan Kirkpatrick What and how questions are the most valuable open ended questions we can ask to elicit a more detailed response and demonstrate that you are listening.  I love this post.  Communication is so important in business.

Good Wednesday morning Alan. A lot of times, I will repeat what the person said just to make sure I understood them correctly. Communication is important.

Hi Alan.  I always repeat objections back to the client.  It clarifies issues.

Good morning Alan and really good point. The thing I despise the most is people who use language only known to them.

I can usually tell by the expression on someone's face if I have not been clear enough, then I will often explain it in a different way.

Clarity often begins with a phone message. Our voice mail response asks callers to repeat their phone number.

Great way to clarify understanding when doing a Buyer consultation to ensure you are on the same page and they are clear as to what they are really looking for in a home.

When we listen we will understood  . .  . . When we ask questions we create clarity. When we clarify we move forward better prepared.

Good luck and success.
