The Simonton Lake Drive In has been in business for 51 years and has been in the same family for four generations. Located near Elkhart County's largest lake, Simonton Lake, gives all the boaters and fishermen something to look forward to after a day of fun! I love their Coney Dogs and of course, the home made root beer!

will Close for the Season, Sept. 30, 2015.

 If you haven't had their home-made Root Beer in a Frosted Mug, and a cooked to-order mouth-watering Hamburger lately, you only have a few more days before they close for the Winter Season. Oh, and don't forget the basket of those tasty French Fries, brought out to your car, like back in the 50's.

Their 7-days-a-week season, runs from March 17, 2015 to September 30, 2015.  Located on the north side of Elkhart, by Simonton Lake, the Drive-in is located on Cassopolis Street, just north of the Indiana Toll Road exit 92.

The Simonton Lake Drive-in is another great reason to purchase your lake home in Elkhart.

Evelyn there does not seem to be many businesses around as long as  the Simonton Lake Drive-In, those that are, are very special to local residents.

I have so many memories about the Simonton Lake Drive-In. My fondest is riding bikes with my cousins down to the drive in for cheese fries or blue moon ice cream. Their pizza burger is great and yes the root beer is the BEST! It was a thrill to take my own daughters there when they were old enough to visit and enjoy a meal. Now we like to cruise in with our Jeep club or visit on a Friday night when the lights are on and the music is going. It's a great local place and I'm so proud to live in a community that still takes part in such a great tradition!
