Well here we are – summer’s over, school is well on its way and fall is here.  There’s a lot happening in Simi Valley that you’ll want to attend and enjoy.

In support of the youth of our valley, you’ll certainly want to take in a game or two of High School Football.  The excitement of a high school football game can be every bit as exciting as that of an NFL game.

One of America’s favorite fall-pastimes – football; sitting in the stands with a warm lap blanket, thermos of coffee and routing on your favorite team. Round up the family or a group of friends, or both. No better way to spend an afternoon or evening. Come join the fun … the camaraderie.

Another great youth program is the Boys and Girls Club of Simi Valley which provides year-round atmosphere of healthy, safe, positive, fun and educational activities that prepare them to become responsible and caring individuals.

Boys and Girls Club - Glow Run

Coming up on Saturday, December 5, 2015, there will be a fund raiser at the Simi Valley Town Center from which proceeds will benefit the youth of Simi Valley. For further information, check their website – Epic Glow Run 2015 . You’ll have a great, fun time all while helping our boys and girls.

All these children, whether they are in elementary, middle or high schools, are the future of our country. Let’s give them the boost they need – our support, encouragement – to help them on their way to become the best they can be.

In addition, Halloween is just around the corner on Saturday, October 31st. If you are out driving after dark, please drive carefully.  Children could be dressed in extreme dark clothing making it hard to see them as they cross roadways, plus they tend to dart out from between cars, totally ignoring the ‘cross in cross-walk’ rules. BE ALERT – BEWARE!
