What is sad is that only 30% of Kentuckians went to the polls yesterday, and the national numbers where voting took place were not much better.
Despite all the strife we see in the world where people are dying to have a "voice", we can't take a few minutes out of our day, and make it to the polls.
We can stand in line at Starbucks, stand outside Best Buy for days to get a cheap TV, or wait to get into a bar for a "drink special", yet we can't take a few minutes to vote.
Think about the HOURS a week that we all spend on Facebook, me included, yet "I didn't have time to vote" is coming out of so many Kentuckians mouths today.
We ask for a more efficient, and mindful government, but we won't do anything about it, but sit on Facebook, and other social media, and fuss about it.
I don't care who you would have voted for yesterday, its not my business, never has been, and never will be!
However, if you didn't vote, I hope the person you see in the mirror this morning is someone you like looking at every day. Because, you made a choice yesterday by not visiting the polls, and we are all going to have to live with it.
