According to a poll 33% of US participants think the Day Light Saving(DLS) is justified. This is way lower than past studies. The DLS is advocated politically by special interest groups. Sports industries want people buy more of their equipment. BBQ industries want to sell you more charcoal with a longer day for outdoor passion.
Year Around Day light saving (YDLS) is being practiced in many countries, start with Russia by accident. I believe Argentina, and parts of Australia already practice YDLS it. Here in the US Arizona and Hawaii chose not to be part of DLS system. Hawaii, for example, is near the equator and has ample of day light.
I myself will probably change enough clocks on March 12 to get everything clock in sync. With digital clocks I need to find manuals. It is a hassle as I posted on the other blog.
I have talked to others and they think they are also in favor a year around YDLS. Switching it back to standard time in the fall it is already dark by mid afternoon so just keep it as DLS. By keeping the DLS time we can enjoy a less stressful adjustment and getting sell calls .....
What are your thoughts on a perpetual DLS?
