ActiveRain University Open Content Call: We Need Your Help
Bob Stewart, consistently has so many great posts and most importantly is terrific about sharing it to us Rainers and beyond. This article is such an exciting new way of presenting information I'm anxious to learn from it! So many times I just write the data and really don't think that it gets the impact that it should. Thanks again for sharing.
We're asking for your help in seeding ActiveRain University with succinct, powerful, educational content that could help your fellow Rainers.
A new ActiveRainUniversity.com launched back in January with little fan fare. Since then, we have been making some small tweaks and working on our first major course offering, the Ben Kinney Advanced Listing Specialist course.
We are also ready to start accepting ActiveRain member content.
What kind of content you ask? The kind that could help to educate other members of the site. Here's what we are looking for:
1. Educational and Instructional VideosShort educational videos about some topic: 1-5 minutes in length. What topics? The sky is really the limit, but here are a few that we imagine people creating:
- How to do certain things on ActiveRain
- Scripts that you use in your business
- Prospecting techniques
- Blogging advice
- Social Media advice
- Not limited by this list above. Have an idea, ask or just submit it. We expect you to have much better ideas that we can potentially list.
In order to submit a video,
please host the video first on Youtube.com. Once the video is hosted there, please include a link to the video in the comment section of this blog post. Along with the link to the video, please give us a small description of what your video is about.
2. Written Content
PDFs: Written content that you would be willing to share that helps other Rainers understand some element of real estate. Some ideas of PDF's people may be willing to share:
- Listing presentation
- Postcards or other mail marketing pieces
- Checklists for elements of your business
- Business plans or business plan templates
- Newsletter examples
- Flyer examples
- I'm sure you will have many other ideas or things you use in your business that you may be willing to share.

Once You Bury Us With ContentWe are going to do our best to publish all of the content you submit on the new ActiveRainUniversity.com site. Initially we will be digging through the submissions and posting and highlighting the best stuff we can find. Over time, as we get the content all divided up into certain 'buckets' we will continue to post your submissions to the site.
A Small Token Of Our AppreciationIn the future, expect to see contests and challenges that entice you to create specific types of content. But to kick things off, let's do 2000 points for every piece of content you submit. If and when you content is selected to be hosted on ActiveRainUniversity.com we will award an additional 3000 points per submission.
Initially we would like to limit this to a maximum of 5 submissions. If your submissions are of a high level of quality and valuable to the community, expect a call from me to discuss additional submissions.
