“Where to start? First thing to know is that you are not staying in a rental property as we would have expected. You're staying in a masterpiece that took this family 10 years, to design, architect, build, and decorate. The fact that you can even get within 100yards of the place is a treat in and of itself and that's coming from people that already live in a top 5% home. If you are looking for the perfect paradise that you never want to leave, then this is your home. Every time we talked about going out to eat, it just seemed ridiculous compared to hanging at the compound. Everywhere you go there is something cool to admire. The fountains are insane with a real sense of rain forest to go to sleep and wake up to. Out of curiosity we looked at multi-million dollar homes from Mesa to Scottsdale just to see what was out there to buy. We searched as high as $10mil and this place just blew them all away in terms of attention to detail. That's what taking your time designing your dream home can accomplish (added to bucket list). Neighborhood: This is an incredible subdivision. The entire place is surrounded by orange groves that weave through the homes. It was clearly designed that way (BTW the owners developed the entire area so no surprise it's awesome). You literally walk out of your door and pick all types of oranges, grapefruits the size of your head and variations in between. There is also an incredible fountain right in the middle of the street just across the main driveway that's worth checking out. Walking through the neighborhood is an amazing experience filled with the smells of citrus and homes that make you wish you could take a tour. Since this is a gated community (very cool gate btw), you just don't have traffic and so your kids are free to roam safer that would otherwise be possible in most settings. We've been everywhere and you can take our word for it, there is nothing out there quite like this home. Our Hosts: With my wife having surgery and us needing to extend our stay, we couldn't have run into better people! We had a chance to meet the owners twice and spend time learning about their journey and at some point hopefully there is a book about it. It's a very cool story that I will leave for future guests to hear about in person. They are beyond perfect to work with in every way, which was a relief. Truly the only way I could imagine a guest not feeling overly impressed with them would be if the guest had some sort of screw loose to begin with. They are simply that spot on and over compensating. In conclusion it was an inspiring experience we will never forget and one we look forward to experiencing again sooner than later! Be back soon”
