I left my Heart in San Francisco

I left my Heart in San Francisco California Robert Swetz

Robert Swetz had the privilege of visiting San Francisco for the first time back in 1976 as a teenager, and what an amazing place.

Back in 1976 my parents bought me an old cheap camera several years earlier that really couldn't take photos like these, and since then I have either lost them or misplaced them.

For anyone that has never been to the city of San Francisco in California, I'm sorry and you have no idea what your missing.

And for anyone that has been to San Francisco you probably know most of the places in the photographs I have attached to this post.

All of these photograph were taken in 2014 while I was working in San Jose on a commercial building project, and I spent a Saturday taking some photos.

Chinatown in San Francisco was one of the first Chinatowns on the west coast and the nation.

In 1980 Robert Swetz worked on a commercial project on Market Street in Downtown San Francisco that lasted about 10 months, and I also lived in in San Francisco.

Hello Mark ...

Very well said my friend and there was a time when I would spend 2-3 weeks every year at Lake Tahoe. And now that I have been spoiled by the beauty of Alaska it has been a couple years since I have been to Tahoe

Hello Ed and if you look real close at the 4th photo from the top of the page, that is Lombard Street looking down at Coit Tower, are you sure you've been to SF?

Just kidding and I will leave you a video I took in a comment below! And as for the pier, well, I took some photos but not very many of the pier ;o)

Agree with Ed Silva - where is the Lombard Street photo? Love the victorians and love Chinatown! All so colorful in a city filled with charm!

Hi Bob... no doubt San Francisco is a beautiful city and these pictures brought back memories of when I lived there from 1974-1976.
