Miss Bad Manners Guide To ActiveRain Meetups
While the title talks about ActiveRain meet ups, this could apply to networking groups, too.
Why can't people just be on time and be polite? There is no such thing as fashionably late. It's disrespectful and rude.
Read on and take time to enjoy the humor from my real estate peers.
It's time for those always looked forward to events, the ActiveRain meetups! It's a chance to get together with our online friends in person, but considering that we're all sooooooooooooooo busy we really need to make the most of even these social gatherings so Miss Bad Manners has some tips to help make your ActiveRain meetup a success! Just follow her advice and you will LONG be remembered by your fellow Rainers!
- What time could be possibly be better to RECRUIT your fellow Rainers to come work for your brokerage??! What, you think you're happy where you are? HONEY, ya just don't understand do you?? You MUST come work with me and I won't take no for an answer! What do you mean about a time and place?? Pfffffffft. We'll bring this up again later!
- No need to arrive on time, fashionably late is the way to be! Everyone can snack on tortilla chips until you arrive. After all, you ARE quite busy with all your clients!!!
- Do NOT turn off your phone! Nope, can't let anyone wait to talk to you about next week's home inspection or setting showings for this weekend! What?? Leave the table when I take that call?? Shirley you jest!!! And leave your company?? Did I mention that I want you to come work with me?? Can't you see I'm quiiiiiite successful and you will be too if you come join me??
- Make sure your conversations are LOUD and ONLY about real estate. Just maybe someone a few tables over will be thinking about buying or selling a home and they've just been waiting for a random encounter in a restaurant to decide who they'll hire!
- Complain about the food! You want to be remembered by the Rainers AND the restaurant staff. After all Sugar, there's NO such thing as BAD PR!!
- Don't forget to have a few of your favorite libations so you can tell everyone what you REALLY think!! Shall we talk about politics?? You like THAT candidate? What are you, a moron???
