Join Us At The LighthouseOyster Bar &
Grill Wed, April 27th 11-1
After previewing a lovely Oceanside Row House that we hope to be closing on May 1st, Janis and I decided to take a nice walk over to the Lighthouse Oyster Bar and Grill which is only about a mile walk, mostly down the beautiful San Luis Rey bike and hiking trail, to the Oceanside Harbor.
Upon our arrival and having worked up an insatiable appetite and thirst we were immediately seated by a very accommodating hostess with an infectious smile outside on the upstairs deck overlooking the beautiful Oceanside Harbor Village.
The New England and Manhattan Clam Chowder combo along with a nice cool glass of Chard was some of the best we've ever had this side of Boston. It was a typical beautiful and pristine North San Diego Coastal mid morning and the ambiance was 5 star through and through.
While we were there we made reservations for 8-10 for our "SPRING into action Active Rain Meet-Up" at this exact location on the corner of the upstairs outside deck overlooking the charming harbor and village full of color.
There was lots of happy activity from fishing, to kayaking to stand up paddling to walking the boardwalk to just sitting while enjoying a wonderful brunch and a nice cool glass of wine and people watching.
No doubt about it. The Oceanside Harbor and Village has it all. It's truly a very happy place to spend some time and enjoy the day with a lot of Active Rain folks and guests. So please remember to put Wednesday, April 27th. from 11-1, or until the Chowder and Chard are gone, on your calendar.
After our wonderful outside dining experience we were off on another adventure and found ourselves walking off the calories we consumed all around the marina and harbor area and down across the beach to the Oceanside pier and finally back to the beautiful row house where we started from.
Janis and I were very impressed with what a wonderful job Oceanside, the gateway to San Diego, has done during the past several years gentrifying what was once not the most wonderful or desirable experience. For those of you who haven't visited Oceanside for awhile you'll be in for a real treat.
Please RSVP by leaving your comment below or by commenting on Jeff Dowler's recent post. Hope to meet a lot of you folks on Wednesday and looking forward to meeting our guests from Orange County and other areas.
