Everybody comes to Destin, Fl. because of the clear waters and the sugar white beaches. 
That is great for day time activities but when the sun starts to drop close to the horizon, my thoughts turn towards the question " what does everyone want to do for dinner tonight'?
There is a wide variety of restaurants available that will suite most folks palates. We have a big range of venues starting at fine dining towards more laid back approach and even a few hole in the wall, locals places which I would not even think of mentioning here for fear of getting my locals card revoked.
People always want to tty the seafood that we are well know for. There are some great steamer restaurants that specialize in mostly seafood served in a variety of ways.
Dewey Destins's right on the Destin Harbor and several other locations comes to mind. It is well know for it's catch of the day, cold beer and hush puppies. If you don't know what hush puppies are you need to come for that visit and I will explain.
For a little more upscale dining Boshamps on the Harbor is the place to try. A wide variety of menu items including fresh fish and more.
This is actually my favorite place on the Harbor but I did not want to lead with it 
until I had built some credibility here. The food is great, the other customers are fantastic, great views of the fishing fleet and live entertainment most nights.
My last recommendation for breakfast and dinner is Mama Clemenza's for breakfast and Fat Clemenza's for dinner. Directions to their menue. Mama will take care of you for breakfast and Dominick will serve you dinner. My recommendation is skip lunch or you will certaintly bring a few extra pounds back from your vacation.
