There are few things more annoying than reading mostly fictitious internet claims or memes which show up on Facebook and other social media during this contentious campaign season. If folks would only run stories through a fact checking website for authenticity! Perpetuating hoaxes and myths by “sharing” or reposting on social media without checking for accuracy, certainly doesn’t enhance one’s credibility!
I regularly use www.factcheck.org or www.snopes.com to determine validity.
What follows below are several internet myths which found their way into my email account and Facebook these past few days:
(1) Donald Trump Admits he was a Hillary Plant all along. This story is absolutely FALSE according to Snopes. Here’s the scoop: http://www.snopes.com/donald-trump-twitter-plant-clinton
(2) Oprah Endorses Trump. Snopes says this one is fictious, and they say it is FALSE. Here’s the link: http://www.snopes.com/oprah-endorsed-donald-trump-false

(5) 'American Sniper' Chris Kyle Did Not Shoot dozens of Hurricane Katrina Looters, Kill Two Attempted Carjackers, and Punch Jesse Ventura in the Face. The claim that he did has been debunked as MOSTLY FALSE by Snopes. Here’s the scoop: http://www.snopes.com/politics/military/kyleclaims.asp

(7) Hillary Clinton Met with Osama Bin Laden in 2008 and Posed for Photograph. Snopes says this one is FALSE. The picture accompanying the original story was apparently part of a Photoshop contest held in 2007 (Yep folks, this one is still circulating the internet.) REMEMBER FOLKS, THERE IS FAR LESS TRUTH, THAN THERE ARE AGENDAS DURING THIS CAMPAIGN SEASON!
