There were storms in my area on Friday. Check out this local FB post that was shared over 700 times. I wasn't at home, but Donald and my pets were home when the top of tree that fell in our neighbor's yard landed on our house. Somewhere on that left side of the house is our air conditioning unit. Limbs were wedged down in the fan and preventing it from turning. I climbed in that mess and cut and pulled them out, then my Donald cleared a little more from around the unit to give it clearance to run. It's Monday and we can't clean it up until the insurance adjuster comes and goes. He was supposed to come today. He didn't. Can you sense that I'm not happy about that? I bet the insurance adjuster could in my email this evening when I got home and asked Donald what he said and found out he didn't come.
Today is also my daughter's birthday. She had class and work so I'm not getting to see her. I did get to talk to her briefly in the middle of work melt down. Or maybe it was between work melt downs. This semester and her work schedule have her very very tired. So say a little prayer for her to make it through the next 4 weeks. Working 12 hour shifts and taking a half hour nap and going to class most of the day and taking another half hour nap and going back for another 12 hour shift is tough. This is her long week. work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days. Class for 5 days. Long long week.
My Donald got hearing aids today. Both ears. I hope they help, but his high frequency hearing loss comes from an incident in the Army and is "profound" and I doubt there is much help for that. And noise in the back ground makes it even tougher for him. We're hopeful that they will help, but I guess time will tell.
Don't you hate when you get "chatter" about an offer. I had two agents call me in the last few days to tell me they were "writing an offer" Sure am glad I didn't call the sellers because I haven't seen an offer. I'm not sure why agents tell you that and then don't write an offer.
I also found the top out of a big tree at my office today, thankfully it just landed in the woods off the back porch. Had it fallen in the other direction it would have hit the porch. A lot of my community was without power for more than a day. My office put out an offer for people to come and get water for free and to charge their electronic devices. At times when I've been in need before this community has given to me. I will always choose to give back when I can.
So how were your last few days?
