Horsey Wordless Wednesday - The Three Amigos

Here you see three of the of the six horses from the herd at the farm.  From left to right, they are Noah, King and, you guessed it, Pippa.  These three hang out together most of the time.  Noah and King are usually together no matter what.  Pippa seems to tag along with them.  Noah is 31 years old, the oldest of the herd.  King is 17 years old and Pippa is the youngest at the age of 8.  In this photo it looks like King has an itch and is using Noah as a scratching post.  Never a dull moment with the horses.

Sandy & Norm,

Yes, horses are very social animals.  If you approach them with a hidden apple, even if they are at the other side of the field, they know you have it and come a runing.  They seem to have this sixth sense.

Myrl,

You may be right about that.
