Have you ever heard of "Old South Baton Rouge"? If you have ever visited Baton Rouge, you might have passed right through it and not even known it. If you drive north of LSU on Highland toward Downtown Baton Rouge, you are in Old South Baton Rouge. Old South Baton Rouge is being reborn. It's an older side of town that is now being shown a great amount of love. Several organizations have gotten together to better Old South.
The organization that has brought together many people to help Old South Baton Rouge is called "OSBR". It is a project put together to help the area between LSU and Downtown Baton Rouge. The plan was created with hopes that the ideas for Old South will be implemented and will improve the looks and quality of life of Old South.
Louisiana State Unversity plays a key role in Old South's rebirth. LSU offers a design class to studentes and puts them in groups and are each assigned a business in the area. The goal of the class is to help the students design and put together a project that will help the area.
Old South Baton Rouge can't do this without the love of it's residents. How can you help? You can help by donating financially. You can also volunteer your time. The most important thing you can do is spread the word. Get the word out about OSBR and how it's impossible for Old South to rise without their help.
