1. Hike and/or Snowshoe to either Grotto or Palisade Falls.  "These are fun hikes both in summer and winter, but the ice is really cool in the winter!"

Grotto Falls Trail is a beautiful scenic hike for all skill levels located in Hyalite Canyon.  If you've never visited Hyalite Canyon, you should put it on your bucket list.  Located in the beautiful Gallatin National Forest, bordering Yellowstone National Park, it has it all- beautiful peaks, creeks, lakes, waterfalls, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, ice-climbing...

Also located in Hyalite Canyon, Palisade Falls Trail is a fairly easy hike up a paved trail.  This falls jumps off a jaw-dropping 80 foot vertical rock wall!

2.  Take a day trip to Gardiner and soak in the Boiling River.

Located at the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park and just outside Gardiner, MT, the Boiling River exists due to a large hot spring entering the Gardner River.  Because the intensely hot water dumps into cool waters, the overall temperature of the water is perfect for taking a warm soak.  The only time it's closed is in the spring when waters rise and can become dangerous.

3.  Ski Bridger Bowl, of course!

Bridger Bowl is a quick 30 minute drive from Bozeman and offers fantastic skiing for all skill levels spread over 2000 acres of terrain.

4.  Enjoy a cider at Lockhorn Cider House, or visit any of the many breweries in town.
Lockhorn Cider House is a small, family-owned business known for their delicious, outstanding quality hard cider, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and yummy eats.

5.  Winter fishing.
"I really enjoy fishing this time of year.  Everyone else is skiing, so you generally have the river to yourself!
