On December 22, 2016, California Association of Realtors (C.A.R) reported that pending home sales Index (PHSI) declined 4.0% to 114.4 in November of 2016 from 119.1 index in September of 2016, and lower 3.5% from Index of 118.5 in November of 2015 on an annual basis based on signed contracts.
Regionally, in the Bay area pending home sales Index decreased 18.1% in November of 2016 from October of 2016, and dropped 12.3% from November of 2015. In Central Valley pending home sales Index declined 4.6% in November of 2016 from October of 2016, and down 4.6% from November of 2015. In Southern California pending home sales Index fell 11.9% in November of 2016 from October of 2016, but jumped 3.9% from November of 2015.
