I did not have much of a 2017 New Year. We came back from overseas just in time for a quick 2016 year end.
This year I am planning to start raise my own chickens for eggs. It is popular and cost effective. $6.50 dozen for organic grown eggs is way too much. I need to find a more affordable way.
My wife's girl friend and her husband had a strong disagreement over how to raise chickens. The husband says you get one rooster and he needs to have at least 5-10 hens to keep him occupied. The wife says Oh, No. Not again. You are a male chauvinist pig. We should find each hen a rooster. Five pairs were raised. The boys were pecking each other to death fighting for dominance. The hens were being pecked losing their feather left and right.
This is the year of Rooster. They are supposed to be honest, bright, communicative and ambitious. Most of them are handsome, and prefer to get groomed. In daily life, they seldom rely on others. However, they might be enthusiastic about something quickly, but soon be impassive. They need to have enough faiths and patience to insist on one thing.
Why did the rooster cross the creek? To cockadoodle dooo something!
