Does Blogging on ActiveRain Work? You Bet Your SEO it Does!

I have been writing posts here on ActiveRain for many years now. I recently moved to an entirely new area here in Texas. It took me awhile to get settled in but I finally wrote and published my first post about this new area.

Today I was just curious how I might be showing up in the almighty search engine. I simply typed in Granbury, Texas and was THRILLED to see that my post was was way high on the list. In fact it was listed #4! Wow, that is super excited.

Many agents ask me why I blog. THIS is why my friends! Blogging on ActiveRain does boost my posts and I then see the RESULTS. Yep, those results are a ringing telephone!

That's awesome to know. I assume it has something to do with the tags used as well? Do you know if there are any other factors that influence this? Such as population, post saturation, etc? For example, I'm in Philadelphia, and there are thousands of posts everyday!

Just keep on blogging. Write blog posts that are "long-tail" searchable. You'll never rank high for "Granbury TX homes for sale" becuse the big boys have those wrapped up. Try "Three bedroom homes for sale in Granbury TX" or "Homes for sale near Granbury TX".
