Motivational Monday: Surrender
How do you feel about the word surrender? Is it a sign of weakness? Of giving up? Or is it maybe a wise choice, realizing that there is really only One who can handle that heavy burden you've carried around for too long? When you are ready to "let go and let God" by surrendering your cares to Him, it is amazing to feel that liberation and love.
When I first introduced to the word "surrender," I'll be honest I thought it was a sign of weakness. Having experienced certain events in my life that required me to surrender (and still do) in order to overcome, I have a new found perspective in "surrender." Its very powerful and freeing when you allow yourself to stop fighting with yourself and others. The worst conflicts tend to happen internally and unfortunately if not addressed spill out into the world externally. Below is the universal prayer my teacher Pierre shared today and I would love to share it with you. I hope for those who feel comfortable reading the universal prayer can attain something very positive that speaks to you.
"Lord, may I evolve the habit of surrendering my burden onto you
For it is not my responsibility to do, fix, or repair anything
Take from me self-judgement, flagellation, and accusation
Give me the intelligence to remember that all healing come from you
Grant me the wisdom to forgive my accusers and enemies
For they are the reflection of internal conflicts that I have yet to address
Ground in me your Compassion and Divine Love that I may become a vessel for your Will and Purpose on earth.
For you are The Way, The Truth, The Light, and The Path of redemption.
Amen!"
