The new pedestrian friendly urban village in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina offers shopping and dining within walking distance of the townhomes. It opened up on April 3rd with 3 excellent restaurants and the fourth opened over this weekend. The food and service in each and every one is top shelf. I have been fortunate to dine at each one.
If you are planning to travel to Myrtle Beach this year, be sure to stop at the Market Common and enjoy lunch or dinner at any of the restaurants below. You will not be disappointed.
Gordon Biersch Brewery - Great for pub food and unique brews. Try the Artichoke Dip in a Breadbowl or their signature 'Garlic Fries'
Travinias - The table height bar is truly unique, but the food is what is truly memorable. I had the ravioli in Alfredo sauce which was superb.
PF Chang's - Chinese dining at its best. The lunch bowls for $8.50 are amazing and the lettuce wrap appetizers with their 'make it yourself' dips are fun and tasty.
Tommy Bahamas - The service is excellent and the food is delectable. The Mahi Mahi was very spicy, but that is just what I love. The coconut cake slice was so large that all in my party were able to enjoy it. The open wall on a balmy night made me feel like I was dining in the tropics.
If you haven't been to Myrtle Beach in a while, you will be pleasantly surprised to see how the former Air Base has been transformed into this Urban Village. Hope you plan on visiting soon...
