Throwback Thursday - Dennison, Texas

Patricia,  There is something about the older "downtown" feel that speaks of simpler times ... when life seemed so much easier ... quieter ... and more enjoyable. I certainly do enjoy the photos. 

HI Patricia Feager - I can just imagine strolling down Main Street Dennison and being transported to another day not so long ago.  Looks like lots of photo opportunities in Dennison. 

Hi Patricia... I am totally in tune with what Kathleen Daniels said about these pictures. When I saw them all I could think was I want to live there. Patsy Cline is one of my all-time favorites, to boot.

Looks like a fun place to visit and I have always been a fan of Patsy Cline.

Patricia Dennison, TX sounds like my kind of town.  I do not drink much but I do like a good glass of wine with a special meal.

The character of the town can be found in its older buildings.  I did not know that Eisenhower was a Texas lad, I thought his roots were in PA

Nice scenes, Patricia!  I find it interesting that so many of the older theaters around the country have the name, "Rialto."

Patricia- love the pictures!  One of my favorite things to do is to drive to the main street of whatever town we're visiting.  So many times all we see the the highway or freeway and see nothing of the town itself!!

I loved the photo tour of Dennison.  It looks like some neat places to visit.  Love the Candy store building, used to have one in Mineral wells almost exactly like that one.  It is so pretty.

Patricia, these walks through small towns are some of THE BEST. They get forgotten by many, and so this is a photojournal that will be a part of history for all to see thanks to you. I happen to love driving through little towns and getting a feel for what's important to the locals. Myrl Jeffcoat has done that for me in the past...and I always enjoy it.
