Spring Cleaning Can Morph into Major Renovations

This challenge this month of Debbie Laity has really been a good one as it's made all of us aware how much cleaning up we need to do on our websites! I'm sure we will continue the spring cleaning throughout the year!

I have not done anything with my blogs, but making changes to my web site.

I found myself in the same boat, an easy task, i would get through a few quickly and found myself loving it and not being able to stop refreshing old blogs Ed Silva 

That's what happens when you become over ambitious!!!

I am not ready for major renovations but some semi heavy spring cleaning that may well run into summer is in order.

Ed, your illustration says it all!  We are all feeling the overwhelm, looking at those old posts. Well, time to roll up our sleeves......

Good morning, Ed... what you wrote about is what so many of us discovered. This is not a one day exercise or even a one week exercise for anyone who's been blogging for a while. For me, this will be an all-spring exercise!

Good article, Ed. I haven't been around long enough to build an archive but I can imagine it's fun to look back at where you started.

Hi Ed, it looks like Debbie knew what was involved when she asked for 10 blogs posts to be reviewed and cleaned. Yes, it can be a major undertaking to review all posts. But at least she got us all started.

Hi Ed, Debbie Laity started a great movement for us, like you, I'm not doing the cleaning all at once, just don't have the time but little by little, I will get there.

Ed Silva - What a great undertaking this was for you with productive results! Just the thought of having to do this was overwhelming for me. You conquered it very well and learned a lot too! Congratulations on a job well done. I still have so much more to do - it's never ending!

Ed one of the advantages of going back through some of the old posts is that they some times generate ideas for new ones.

Ed, This spring cleaning of posts is not an easy task and certainly one which will take many more hours/days of work. 

Ed, the task is one that will take time to complete.  I do feel the time and effort spent will be well worth it.  I am adding a call to action that was missing in so many posts.  

I spent several hours doing the cleanup and started chasing some rabbit trails. It is a time consuming project but has benefits in the end.

Ed Silva - it is not so easy to do the 'Spring Cleaning' here on the old AR posts!

Agreed.  I thought this would be an easy challenge and boy oh boy was it not.  It was time consuming and I'm nowhere near finished! -Kasey

Hi Ed, we too had corruption in our oldest of posts so we hope the clean up will add some value in addition to meeting the challenge.  More to go as well!  John and Kat
