Monday...
7:30 pm night.
I was talking to my husband. Phone rang. Since I had shut down, I asked my husband, "could I please answer the phone." It was my old supervisor from my 1st real job. Her words stood out to me: Karen, I have been watching you. I heard you on the radio. I see you have your real estate license in Georgia and Florida. I read your posts. I would like you to mentor me. It's an honor for me to mentor her.
4:00 pm evening.
We executed a contract Friday only to find out the client does not like neighborhood. She said since she was not fully well, she was not thinking it through and once she became well she went back to view the neighborhood and realized that she did not like the neighborhood and wants to cancel the deal and get her earnest money back. I love my client and the great part about me as her Realtor, I understand. When I was not feeling well, I did not make the best decisions and I would stay home. My favorite words: Welcome to Real Estate.
2:30 pm afternoon.
I had a listing appointment where the house is in probate. There were four siblings. One brother refused to sign. After my conversation with him, I explained the entire process and what part I would play and by the time I left, all four siblings had signed the papers and the one who refused to sign smiled at me and said, "thank you."
10:00 am morning.
I got a phone call from Margaret Rome and had the privilege of talking to one of our ambassadors on Active Rain. The lady is sharp and full of knowledge and to add, she gave me so many nuggets that if time allowed, I could have stayed on the phone with her all day. Watch out AR because of her, coming soon: My own real estate office, I will step my blogging game up, study the top producers on Active Rain, and she gave me an idea where I will never have to worry about radio topics again.
