The newer Unterhausen The Castle Cellar Pub is a charming, small indoor spot with additional outdoor seating for sharing a drink or good German food with friends. Just in case the validity of our word, stating that pretty much every known national seller of goods or restaurant is also available in Simpsonville could be in question… behold, the one and half mile stretch of Fairview Road. This major thoroughfare and connecting roadways conveniently hold the entry to grocery stores, retail shopping outlets, hobby stores, pet stores, home improvement stores, and basically any store in between those categories. However, if you are still looking for local outlets, then you are in for a treat. Gems are hidden right in clear sight on this traveled road! For starters, Julia and Jason, owners of Stella’s Southern Bistro will treat you to Low Country inspired dishes all while serving the portions with ingredients generated from local farms and providers. For those who may not be familiar with the lingo “Low Country,” this is a South Carolinian term for the coastal region of this state. For a more relaxed lunch or dinner The Mad Cuban Café, serving authenticate Cuban food, is a must try located right in the heart of businesses on Fairview Road. Venturing in to other shops you will find wonderful local selections such as Crafted Beer, a father and son owned business providing the best local and independent brewery finds, and Cycle Haus, a world class cycling shop for everything from custom bikes to apparel that can equip you for rides all over the Upstate, where cycling is well respected.
