Paperwork has been filed I have moved from Broker Asso to Broker

The paperwork have been filed with DBPR to move me from Broker Associate to Broker.

 

I am statying with American Realty of Northwest Florida aka ERA American Real Estate.

What does that mean? What is the difference to being a "broker" and "broker associate" if you still stay with the firm? I'm not familiar with FL law.

This link might help, there can be more limits on Broker Associates holding officer positions within a company for one.
