The 4th of July falls on a Tuesday this year. For some, that's a four day weekend. For others, not so much. But everybody has the chance to enjoy Lake Havasu Independence Day 2017 festivities. Those festivities start with a rockin' concert on Monday and conclude with an amazing pyrotechnic display over the lake on Tuesday.

Rockin' the Dock Summer Concert

The first one of the Lake Havasu Independence Day 2017 festivities involves music and starts the day before the 4th of July. Whether you're working all day on the 3rd or you're playing on the lake all day, spend the evening at the Havasu Landing Resort. Why? The Littletown Band performs live right on the beach. Continue your time on the water or come ashore to listen. The resort plans to put up a specially-designated swim area with floating dock so you never have to leave the water. Don't want to get waterlogged? Bring a blanket or lawn chair onto the grassy area right by the stage instead. Cool off with a cold beer (21+ only with ID) or icy water. They'll be available for sale at the event (only cash accepted).

What do you have planned for the 4th of July? Barbecue? Lounge in the pool? Stay out on the lake? When night falls, the show begins. Every year, Lake Havasu City puts on an amazing fireworks show over the lake. And it won't cost you a dime to enjoy it. The best spots to watch include Rotary Park, the Nautical Beachfront Resort, London Bridge Beach and Thompson Bay. Don't want to exit your watercraft? Then watch from the water. The fireworks shoot off from Spectator Point's Lookout Point at the Nautical Beachfront Resort. As long as you stay a safe distance away from the firework staging area, you can stay on the water to enjoy the show. Just make sure you tune your radio to KNTR 980AM for a simulcast musical montage.
