The fireworks in Oswego, IL were loud and exciting.  The best thing is that I can see them from my driveway so I don't have to fight crowds or parking!  The convenience of living close to the fireworks staging area and small town living.

 

As fun as the fireworks are - the real estate market may not be so much fun for buyers currently searching for a new home as sellers are firmly in the driver's seat!  Median sales price has gone up 4% since June, 2016 ($264K) for approximately $10,500 from June 2017's $275,000 median price.

We had a 38.9% drop in inventory levels from June 2016's 3.5 months to 2017's 1.3 months of inventory in the detached home category.

Homes in my subdivision - Lakewood Estates are going under contract in a matter of a few days with multiple offers.  An experienced agent is your best bet to get you the home that you want when low inventory and multiple offers are the new norm for market ready homes!
