I found the picture of the entree I had in Jaffa so I thought I need to share that picture also. By the sauce you can see that it is not like any Osso Bucco you would get served anywhere else. Needless to say I kept eating beyond my stomach saying no you have had enough. I will now go home and offically go on a diet. But the food at this place and everywhere I ate in Israel was worth every pound I gained. FYI, If I ever find better hummus anywhere in the world it would be a miracle. Israel is hummus heaven.
Good morning Joe.
Sorry sir but I don't recognize most of that on the photo. It does look very good, what is it?

James Dray It is veal shank that is close to the bone. It is darker veal and very rich and in this case they used an Arabian sauce.
Good morning, Joe Pryor that's an italian specialty.... I love veal....

Barbara Todaro I know and that is why I couldn't resist trying a variation. I have never seen it before and to say it was delicious would be an understatement.
Good morning Joe Pryor ,
OMG..the food in Israel is so good and your dish looks delicious. My husband even agreed the hummus is the best (he is not a fond lover and even he enjoyed it)

Glad you enjoyed, Joe. Lived almost two years in the Gulf and have travelled in other parts of the Middle East and North Africa... (not all that willingly). This is one cuisine I never developed a taste for.

Wow Joe, Osso Bucco sounds like a great dish to have. Sounds like a trip of a life time.
All I can think of is what's on my mind:
Taste and see, taste and see
the goodness of the Lord.
Oh, taste and see, taste and see
the goodness of the Lord, of the Lord.
Interesting presentation with the creamy sauce and pot of sauce on the side. I wouldn't have expected slivered almonds all over it either. Glad to hear the food was worthy on your trip and I hope you've been able to shed a few pounds already.
