What is healthy food?
Seems like anything about food is battlefield. Gurus contradict each other… There are so many diets… One would suggest healthy carbs; the other would tell you to avoid carbs whatsoever. Gurus can’t agree on anything.
Maybe we all need to stop eating until the gurus finally figure out what is good and what is bad?
Some say eat fruit and vegetables. But Aleut in the Arctic do not eat vegetables. Do they all die very young? Do they all die from heart attack because of eating so much fatty meat and fish only?
Not really. Not more than people following the best diet in the world, Mediterranean.
They say eat more broccolis. It has so many health benefits, but turns out they also have health risks for your thyroid and may interfere with your heart medication…
Others say do not eat butter and do not cook with it. Everybody knows that. Except for the French. A lot of their recipes call for real butter.
Historically, there has never been a low far diet. Fat was energy and humans needed it. Reduced fat products are the result of advanced civilization.
Anyway, the beauty of it is that no matter what we eat, we still die. So the prize of eating “good” food is not yet clear.
Would die healthy?
