This upcoming week, Charlotte is hosting its first ever PGA Championship at the Quail Hollow Club! This will be the third golf course in North Carolina’s history to host this major event. If you live in a home for sale in South Charlotte, this event is right around the corner from you. Read on for details about the PGA Championship near your Charlotte home next week to get an inside scoop on the course and what to expect.

Quail Hollow Club

So what’s it like to play Quail Hollow Club and what can these golfers expect? It’s easily one of the most pleasant walks in golf. Unlike other courses today, there aren’t huge distances between greens and tees.

While there are still water hazards, bunkers and crowded greens, it all has a natural flow and is a real classic course! Additionally, expect to work on the greens. All of the bent-grass greens are replaced with Bermuda, making the greens rock hard.

If you’re looking for a thrill, Quail Hollow delivers with the final four holes providing a big finish! This beautiful course is truly the perfect setting for this huge event near your house for sale in South Charlotte.

Schedule and Tickets

The championship runs from August 7 to August 13. Practice round tickets for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday start at $5. Championship round tickets for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday start at $53. If you don’t want to miss a moment, weekly passes start at $419.

We live just down the street from Glen Eagles. Traffic is going to be a nightmare for residents but the exposure the Tourny brings to Charlotte is well worth it. I saw that this year they're putting up a fence all the way around the course which will make it hard for those living on the fairways to view the action.
