Humane Society of Charlotte - What's happening in Charlotte's fur baby community this week?
Last week was quite special to me - my oldest son and his wife came home for a visit and brought their adorable rescue dog, Spike with them. We had a great time with this very active, lovable puppy! He's going to be a huge dog and is only about 5 months old and already bigger than my fully-grown rescues.
My youngest son, who lives in Charlotte, has started fostering dogs until they are adopted and just placed his first dog! I honestly thought that he would keep that dog - he was SO in love with it!
I'm overjoyed that both of our boys have a passion for fur babies and for pet adoption. It's something that everyone should experience at least once in their lives - if you do, you'll never go back to breeders!
In celebration of National Dog Day, the Humane Society of Charlotte has decided to extend this special day through the month of September! Have a great selfie of you and your fur baby (dog or cat), post it to HSC's Instagram page and you'll be entered into the contest for a $200. Petco gift card. If you don't have a selfie on-hand, it's time to snap one!
