I do not know who started this or when they first named September 7 , as ," National Salami Day ' I just read it in the carrier Pigeon , a monthly free magazine that I receive. Check out www.theuptightsuburbanite.com. It is interesting to see that they have something for each day of the month of September ,'

This is definitely a new one for me.  Ron's aunt Gladys used to pack a salami and Hershey chocolate bars for all the overseas trips she took.  She did not like most foreign foods.  Your post reminded me of her, she was a lovely sweet lady.

Occasionally I have a sandwich that has some salami on it. That is not a food I would want to eat every day.
