I'm Thankful for Drone Photography, Post #9

By
Real Estate Agent WV0026375

The use of drones for aerial photography has become increasingly popular among real estate professionals here in West Virginia.

I have listings priced from $300,000 to $1 million and have hired a professional to make videos using the drone technology for aerial photography.   The listings may consist of only an acre lot or over 50+ acres. With the drones, you have the ability to take aerial photos of properties and to survey landscapes and large acreage properties. Drones can also aid agents in showing their clients a better view of the surrounding neighborhood and where their home lies in relation to local amenities.

I am so thankful for the availability of drones for real estate.  Using drones, you are able to have aerial stills and videos highlighting the homes in its surroundings that cannot be captured from the ground.

Drones are great for real estate marketing of luxury homes, acreage, farms, equestrian properties, ranches, waterfront properties, lake front, river front, mountain resort homes, as well as, commercial properties.

I am thankful for the drone technology that helps me market listings. The sellers are always impressed with the end results. If I think that the drone technology would be useful to capture the home and its surroundings, large or small, I will hire a drone professional.

Rebecca, drone photography showcases listings so beautifully. I wish we could use it more here but, it's often not permitted because of the no fly zones.

Having a birds eye view is helpful in seeing all that a property has to offer, I like the drone photos, as long as they are not just of the roof, haha.

I am with you on drone photography. When Google is far behind in overhead pictures, drones give people the area to see.

Drone photography is especially useful when it comes to photographing rural properties.  It has opened up a whole new world in photography.

Rebecca Gaujot - Your videos are beautiful! There is no better way to sell large properties with acreage and beautiful space than via drone photography. Whoever you used for drone photography did an excellent job! I especially loved the first one because it show so many wonderful details about the property. Everything you wrote about the advantages is so true and very educational too!

Rebecca,

I think drone photography is good when, I am not a fan of drones for many reasons but they also have their uses!

Endre Barath, Jr. - Yes, using drone photography for land is indeed a must here!

Amanda S. Davidson - I can understand that since you have  two big airports, Dulles and Reagen National.  We have one small airport in Lewisburg.

THank you, Patricia Feager, for taking the time to view the videos.  It was fun to be there with the photographer using the drone and learning about that small piece of equipment that helps me sell real estate.

Yolanda Cordova-Gilbert, one you use drone photography you will be hooked.  Of course, if you have a lot of no-fly zones, it may not be a fit for you.
