Taking Time Out for Friendship
20+ years ago, 5 hard-working 'younger' gals started a Christmas tradition of taking time off and gathering with our spouses. On occasion, one would miss the festivities but, for the most part, most years, we are all together.
We began with a gift-exchange that turned into an ornament exchange. Most years, we've all gotten our ornaments and our 'fun' festive dishes & favorite wines or holiday drinks planned well before our annual Christmas party! We have a group text that we keep up with each other all year - also meeting as a group a couple of times each year as well.
These girls know everything about each other - everything - and our hubbies adore one another as well! There aren't a lot of friendships that last decades and when we have them, we certainly cherish each and every one of them.
Here's to always making the time to foster those forever friendships.
