TBT - Humor...Attorney Threatens To Sue About A Bowl Of Soup

By
Real Estate Agent with Lisa Von Domek Team TX License #0552989

Yes, seriously, an attorney threatened to sue a restaurant over a cup of soup.
The scenario:  local restaurant offers a free cup of soup with an entree, but
as noted on the menu "while supplies lasts".  The supply ran out and the
attorney threatens to sue and presented a demand letter of $2.25 for the
soup plus $250 in attorney fees for the letter he wrote himself.  You just
can't make this stuff up:

According to the Fox4 News report the attorney says he’s now being threatened himself after his demand letter blew up on the internet.

Maybe he will get hit by a bus the next time that he leaves the diner and hopefully no judge would rule in his favor.

Sadly this doesn't surprise me. We've become such a litigious society that there are lots of people out there just looking for any excuse to sue. I hope someone "accidently" spilled the soup du jour in his lap & bolted.

No - you can't make this stuff up - and this is why attorneys are held in the regard that they are.
